Romantic Winter Wonderland Wedding for Kelly & Mike

I first met Kelly & Mike after they attended the Chester Racecourse wedding fair. Soon after we met at their wedding view and we talked about their wedding photography requirements in much detail. Luckily they loved my wedding photography work and booked soon after.

The Beast from the East was an unexpected Winter Wedding Guest for the Bride & Groom

The day before their wedding was pretty frantic for everyone involved in the wedding as there had been heavy snow. Every winter Bride-to-be considers snow and plans their foot ware accordingly. However, the sad result of the heavy snow delivered by the “beast from the east” brought some inevitable guests being unable to attend their wedding day at Beaufort Park Hotel.

The Bridal Preparations were smooth and relaxed for Bride Kelly

Kelly’s Bridal preparations took place at Beaufort park along with her bridesmaids and flower girls. Jane the makeup artist and Rach the hairdresser completed their pampering in  a room provided specifically for bridal preparations.

I travelled between the preparation room and the bridal suite to ensure I captured all of the detail wedding photographs before Mike arrived with his Best Man and Dad. The snow was deep, and cold, so I captured these as quickly as possible before Mike headed for the bar!

Kelly’s Mum and Bridesmaids and flower girls were all dressed before they helped Kelly into her breathtaking wedding gown. She looked absolutely beautiful. Kelly’s step Dad was wowed when he first saw her and was (albeit briefly)… stuck for words! He proudly escorted Kelly down the aisle to Mike who was visible wowed by Kelly’s entrance.

Guests looked on as the happy couple exchanges rings, vows and then a kiss to seal their marriage. Not a dry eye in the room and there were plenty of smiles from Mike now too!

Guests threw confetti in the snow!

Taking in account of the weather, we captured the group shot outside first of all, to ensure everyone could get out and incase any more snow arrived. The Bride & Groom mingled among their wedding guests and posed for wedding group photographs before heading into their wedding breakfast.

Speeches soon followed where Father of the Bride, Mike and the Bestman wowed the guests with stories of laughter and jokes and stories about how the couple met. Even more guests arrived at Beaufort Park for the evening function to celebrate the wedding day with the happy couple.

It was an absolute pleasure capturing this fabulous day for Kelly & Mike. Watching them looking into each others eyes with such love and laughter was very special. I feel truly blessed to have been chosen to capture their wedding day.

I’d like to wish Kelly & Mike all the very best for their wonderful future together. I hope you had the most amazing time on your honeymoon and I hope you love your wedding photographs from Capture My Wedding Photography. Thank you so much for your wonderful testimonial too, it means such a lot knowing that you had a wonderful wedding day.

Testimonial from Kelly & Mike on Facebook

Laura Louise photographed our wedding on 3rd March. When it came to picking a photographer, she was the first one we arranged a meeting with, and afterwards we were both so impressed with her professionalism and friendly personality that we both decided we wanted her to do our wedding and didn’t arrange to meet any others.

Prior to the day she met up with us at our venue and talked us through the whole ceremony and where everyone would be, something no one else had done whichput us both at ease and she answered questions we were both thinking and worrying about.

In spite of the heavy snowfall, she called us the day before to give us that extra reassure us that she would be there regardless. Throughout the day she was amazing, making sure she got the photos we’d specifically asked for, and at one stage was even lying in the snow to take her shot! We’re both so excited to see our photos and we really can’t recommend her enough! She is one amazing lady! X
